View Full Version : Omaha Knights in Playoffs?

The Knights, being a first year team, have seeed to have a rough start in the start of their inagraul season, but has anyone been watching them lately. I've noticed a tremendous change in their teamwork and knowledge of each others playing styles. They may not look as good in the standings, sitting in 4th place in the West division and only up by a few points to Iowa and Chicago, but if yu take away some of those starting-up losses from the beginning of the season, along with 8 SOL, they may look quite a lot stronger. On Sunday, I had the joy of watching them pulverize Houston 6-1, who is one of the best right now. I would say they have a good chance had winning the West Division in the playoffs. What about everyone else?

One game does not a season make, and the horrifying attendance indicates home ice would be a non-factor. They're toast in the division semis.

I agree that one game does not make a whole season, I was just using the latest Houston game as an example. The attendence is pathetic also, too. I didn't word it right but I meant to say that the last 20 games or so, the Knights are really coming together as a team and playing great. One other positive thing that could help them if they reach the playoffs is they seem to play better on the road. It got to the point that signs were being made and brought to home games that said, "Pretend you're on the road". I don't know, maybe I'm just really excited for the first year team and finally having a hockey team thats more than just college, but they have improved for sure throughout the season.

Personally I'd like to see them do well in the post season, seeing as they were affiliated with my Lock Monsters the last few years. Omaha has a bunch of players I'd have liked to see in Lowell this year.

Yeah... and snagging Chuck Kobasew would have been pretty sweet too.
