Hi, all WTT and tennis fans! :) Seems I'm posting the first ever thread here on the WTT forum of OSC and I am honored! Hope we subsequently receive more threads from the OSC message forum in the months to come and through the coming WTT season. :cool:
I am interested to know how the player pool is assembled with both the amateur players, the current pro players acctive on both the ATP and WTA tours, and the retired players all notify the WTT and how the WTT prepares the potential draftees for the coming draft on March 28 from New York City.
Pete Sampras' addition and availabilty will add more creditibility to the WTT and would be interesting which team may draft him. I am also interested the order of teams drafting and which team has the top pick.
I am also interested when the team schedules for the 2006 WTT season will be available, especially the television schedule and the marquee matchups provided for ESPN2 and The Tennis Channel. My guess is that it will be set by May so that all the teams will arrange the travel plans for their road games accordingly.
I am a huge Anna Kournikova fan and would be interesting later which matches she will play in the brief schedule and seems Coach Wayne Bryan my utilize her exclusively in doubles matches for the Sacramento Capitals again this year. I hope to see Boris Becker and Mark Phillipousis play in the WTT in2006 after withdrawing from injuries in 2005. :cool:
I read forward to the news of the coming 2006 WTT draft, schedule and fortcoming WTT news and developments, and I know we'll see new users very soon here in the Our Sports Central WTT forum. I must declare to say I am lucky to post the very first thread of the coming World Team Tennis season! ;)
