Sandsharks coach in HOT HOT HOT water:
He is charged with second- and third-degree assault, second-degree kidnapping, criminal mischief, theft and committing a violent crime with a deadly weapon, according to Kathleen Walsh, a spokeswoman for Colorado's 18th Judicial District, which includes Arapahoe County.

At least he knows how to lay the SMACK Down.....lol
Typical NIFL? Is there a pattern in the NIFL of coaches arrested for something like this?
I know and have met a LOT of very, very high quality individuals coaching throughout this league, as well as a few other leagues. Not only do they put it out there each and every week for the kids wanting to play football for our entertainment, to help these players be the best that they can be, but they are also very approachable by fans and their families.
Never mind how this case turns out, whether Coach Ware is found guilty, or possibly innocent in this obvious domestic issue of which you'll often seen blown into something it's not because of the strong emotions. Hopefully he's not the kind of guy that would do this, I guess we'll find out. If he is guilty, I certainly haven't seen a pattern of this behavior with the NIFL coaches, maybe I've missed something?
Interesting though, he was employeed by a UIF team and apparently hired by an APFL team, but I don't see anything about this being typical of their Coaches? I've met a number of quality people coaching in those leagues, as well.
Sounds like a cheap shot to me.

You had the former NJ owner with the butcher knife...
And by tpical NIFL I mean another bad story coming out from the NIFL. Typical.

I agree with the "Typical NIFL" statement.
Just bad stories, the Marshals owner last year, the NJ team last year,
several Florida teams having trouble last year, schedule changes,
players not getting paid, on and on - and it's starting this year.
It's just a comedy of errors. How many teams are listed as playing this year, that nobody knows REALLY if they are playing or not, and the season is about to begin.
This league would give Rabbit Hash, Kentucky a franchise if
they came up with the initial deposit, with no questions asked.
There are a lot of good stories in the NIFL, as well.
Some of the best organizations to be involved with for all of indoor football could be included in a handful of NIFL franchises, including the Fever, the Rage, the Cavalry and a few others. There also looks to be a lot of promise with some of the new franchises in the NIFL, Rapid City is opening eyes quickly, the early rumblings in Fayetteville with the Arkansas Stars sounds promising, the Osceola football team may make some real noise, some are thinking the team in Katy, Texas may be one of the most impressive new teams, and that's not even to mention the new energy coming out of the Lakeland Thunderbolts this year.
Sure there have been some bad stories in the NIFL, real bad at times, but they get played up a LOT more than the same problems in other leagues.
I'm assuming that the teams that were behind on payments in the UIF have finally caught up, including big talking franchises like the Freedom and the Greyhounds? I know of people that were still owed from last season not too long ago.
The AIFL problems are fairly well known, heck they didn't even finish their last season.
The old Intense Football League was rumored to have joined the NIFL because of mismanaged funds in their 1st season. Supposedly there a lot of strippers that benefited a great deal from some that lived the high life that lone season.
Shoot, even the lower cost APFL has a number of players complaining because they didn't get the compensation promised to them, not to mention their roster of teams seem to be in the same flux as other leagues from start of the season to the end.
The NIFL needs to improve, some franchises need to improve in a big way. There are still some scary situations across the league, and almost everyone knows where they are, but there are a lot of really great ones, as well.

So every league is screwed up, that's nice.

If you choose to focus on the negatives, that's the way it seems.
There are a lot of great stories out there across all of the leagues, as well. Every one of them.
Players out there playing for around $200 a game, many playing at a very high level. Seeing the interaction with the fans and the youth in the communities across the country. The appreciation that is shared back and forth, both ways, between the coaches, the players and the fans.
I hate seeing some of the underhanded stuff that goes on, sometimes we don't hear the whole story, but I keep hoping that things will continue to improve, that everyone will figure out how good this level of indoor football can be. I live in a city with a team that seems to try to shoot itself in the foot, but I've seen a lot of good here too.
There are some teams that all teams should be modeled after. The UIF's Sioux Falls Storm comes to mind right off the bat. They've been doing it right since back in their NIFL days.
The Tri Cities Fever are another team that seem to have it figured out. I even went ahead and bought a DVD of the NIFL championship game from their organization. Wow, what an atmosphere out that way.
I'm looking forward to the games.

Rumors, that's all it is. Now for the TRUTH ...
The Intense Football League suffered the loss of a couple of their teams after the 1st season, mainly due to the El Paso franchise folding and the Amarillo franchise joining the af2. They felt that it would give their teams and players better exposure if they joined a bigger league, so they signed a 2 year contract to play in the NIFL. After they found out what a joke the NIFL was, they got out of their contract and reformed the IFL. It had nothing to do with mismanaged funds.
And I'm not sure where you came up with that stripper rumor. First time I've heard about that. The only thing I can think of is that the San Angelo franchise, under the original ownership group, had some strippers on their dance team. There wasn't any kind of scandal going on.

He coached in the UIF and was set to coach in the NIFL. Just a clarification.

That, and the old Lubbock owners were a couple of playboys...and their Dance Team was pretty stripper-like...but it was and is NOTHING like the NIFL.
Put it this way, when the commish and her front office don't want to go to court because that would mean all the monetary books would be open to the public and open to scrutiny...what does that tell you?

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck . . .
You give two or three teams that do it right -
out of how many? Not a good percentage.
