View Full Version : rockfords ages
I keep reading the rockford coach saying how young his team is, in actuality, rockford is the second oldest team in the league.
heres the list:
albany 24.8
dakota 25.3
gary 25.5
sioux falls 25.6
idaho 25.8
michigan 26.5
rockford 27.3
yakima 28.3
The rockford coach keeps talking about his young team when it is actually old. And, another story about a second year player almost implying he is a rookie. Is this just excuse making in case they lose in the playoffs? he insulted the Gary team in the paper saying he thought their team would be depleted by now. what does that mean? he is really arrogant. He also said in the same article that he never thought albany or michigan would be any good. Well last i checked Albany has beaten rockford two straight games!
all i know if rockford does make it to the finals, rockford needs to pay some of their playoff money to Snap Hunter for going overseas, because they would never beat Gary with Snap in the lineup.
Well hurray rockford you solved the youth problem. "Not being satisfied being the second oldest team in the league, the rockford lightning took an aggresive move to past up yakima and become the oldest team in the league by signing 35 year old shelly clark. I think rockford will soon have a team that will have to compete in an over fourty league soon.

What is your problem with Rockford? This entire thread is you talking to yourself about how old they are.
i have no problem with rockford, just excuse making. and after every loss the coach made excuses all the time. why not once and awhile take responsibility?
they actually are a very good organization, with a great history. and they have some good players like marlon parmer, ronnie fields, cordel henry and roger powell.
jon jackson, lawrence nelson, shelly clark, are classy solid pros. sidney holmes most improved player in the league, from last season.
sometimes you just don't play well, and that all there is to it. no need to excuse it or blame anyone.
but the facts still remains, they have struggled with the better teams in the league, and there record is indicative of a lot early season wins, soft schedule playing an expansion albany and disoraganized michigan team a lot.
its important to put this out there, maybe they will then look in the mirror and do better! excuse making won't fix their problems with the better teams.
