NIFL SOB's,
Our football team's history,
'Cause we chose to wait a year,
You cut us, and we shed tears,
But we can handle this well,
NEXT YEAR IT'S AIFL!!!

I think we may be jumping to conclusions here. None of this means Jacksonville is out of the NIFL picture. In fact, we received a press release from the team today:
http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3264607
Tryouts over a year before they plan on fielding a team?
Wow! I can think of positives and negatives. At the very least the team gets a dry run for next year.

The Stallions had signed a lease to play this year, right?
SO THEY DEFAULTED ON THEIR LEASE!
THAT SHOULD BE GROUNDS TO TERMINATE THEM!
(BTW, I forgot to put by the song "Done in a whiny voice")

Big question is ............ will we really know who is in or out for 2006 before the first games in March???????????

I don't remember seeing anything that indicated the Stallions signed a lease this year. In fact, I think they're still negotiating it. I could be wrong, but that's how I believe things stand.

Unlike M. Burmey, an ASPIRING musician, who happens to be over 1000 miles away and will never attend one of our games, we at the Jax Stallions like to get our facts correct before posting them. We agreed to a contract for the arena, but the contract was never signed by both parties. Additionally, we have chosen to wait a full year, host our first set of tryouts in February, and start working on establishing a professional community based organization that is dedicated to working with children, as part of the Big Brother/Big Sister organization, the Guardian ad Litem program, and other organizations dedicated to working with kids that have been abuse, neglected or otherwise that do not have a normal home life.
If M. Burmey were truly interested in doing something productive with his life, as with many others, they would get involved and do only a fraction of what we will be doing over the next year with the communities they are in, and help children rather than try to make jokes at the expense of them and the people that speak for them.

I think that definitely puts this rumor to rest. (Standard message board reminders coming) Part of what we do here is to try to draw conclusions from the various facts we see in newspaper articles, press releases and other media reports. There's nothing wrong with that. But we need to always be careful that we don't treat supposition or rumor as hard fact. Just because something is repeated doesn't make it true. Believing one team had folded simply because another had changed its name was a stretch. (Standard message board reminder finished)
It's not a bad idea to spend the time making sure you have the best possible chance to succeed. Too many times we see franchises in all leagues at this level rush a team onto the field. We see so many of these situations fail which ends up cheating fans in the long run.
Best of luck to the Jacksonville franchise. I hope the season spent preparing is well worth it and leads your franchise to much success!

Excellent decision by Jacksonville...Wish Charlotte and Dayton would do the same.

I heard a "Whoops!" the Dayton NIFL folks, and they now recognized that "Stallions" is already taken...

Sorry you were not able to start the franchise in 2006, but it's understandable. At least your trying to build a foundation and be successful.
As a Jacksonville Jaguar Season Ticket holder, we are looking forward to some off season football in our community. Plus traveling to other Florida cities to watch the team will be fun.
I found some good information at http://www.jaxstallions.com/. I hope they keep it updated.

They had a fall-out of the team, people are saying where are they and they have been make some bad deals in town. Where's the owner, did they ever have one and some are saying that they were just around to collect $. It made lots of people  &

I didn't know that they defaulted on their lease. I was told that the team was no longer in existence and that is to be expected since he owes me money for what I sold him. The Jacksonville Stallions are owned and managed by a General Manager that wants everything ,but pays noone.
I also heard that his coaches are furious at his lack of leadership and incompetency as a owner. Good riddens, but you still owe us money.

Hey, DB:
With a name like yours, maybe no one wants to get close enough to you to give you any money... just a thought.

Interesting how people can claim that they know so much about the Jax Stallions and are not part of it. As part owner and GM for the team I will tell you for a fact that we have not defaulted on our lease as we do not have one yet. Also, as far as vendors not being paid, that is partially true, however, it is due to the employees that are no longer with the company that did not do the job they were hired to do, which is sales, as a result, almost no revenue has been brought in by them. True, they have not been paid for two pay period, why, because they didn't do anything. As any smart business person, you cut your losses before they become overwhelming. Something that has also not been noted is that the same employees have stolen property belonging to an individual, not the company to use as black mail or extortion.
As far as the charity organizations not talking to us, we work very closely with two organizations, and have not had any problems with either. Additionally, the 'lack of leadership' issue, this is actually true. I hired a director of sales to do a job, bring in revenue and supervise the sales and marketing staff. His failure to do his job resulted in further loss of revenue and damage to the reputation of the team.
As far as any other issues, please feel free to contact me directly rather than going and posting information that is neither accurate nor true. The Jax Stallions will be playing in March 2007, we are neither a scam nor are we trying to rip anyone off. We are a legimate franchise, and this may be verified by contacting the NIFL directly. I may be reached at sam.terry@jaxstallions.com if anyone has any further questions, concerns, or issues related to the Jacksonville Stallions. Put simply, if you do not have the ability to contact me directly, don't go posting false information, that is known as slander and is considered a civil matter that will be handled in a court of law.

terry, i'm not interested in a prolonged court fight over the logo. I
emphasize again that he DID NOT pay me for the work and therefore it
remains my property, but i'm afraid, given the kind of person he is and
based on my dealings with him so far, he would drag me to court
anyway to claim the logo is his in some way... I refused to do anymore
work on it because up until that point he had not paid me, even though
I was assured on numerous occasions that I would be paid and now your
employees have resigned...I could of predicted that long time ago.
No money has been exchanged. I signed nothing over to him. Ron is looking
for payment too.

Either you paid or not...it's not partially. You did not.

What's your debt/equity ratio and personal net worth at this very moment?
How much money will be set aside in escrow for your inaugural season as dictated and required by the NIFL home office?

As I have said before, I have had to accept the resignation of my sales staff for failure to do their jobs...raise money. Right now, we have more money going out than coming in. That is changing now that the fat has been trimmed so to speak. I expect all outstanding debts to be paid off before the end of April. At that point we will start getting ahead and getting things done more efficiently and without the added expense of a staff that doesn't do it's job...raising revenue.

Actually, it is what it is. There is, believe it or not, the ability to have some debts paid and some that aren't. When we have the money all debts will be paid and we will not be ordering anything else until we have all the funds in the bank in order to pay in advance.

YOU MEAN A LOT OF DEBT!!!!!!!! and not ordering anything else until you have all the funds in the bank is a wise choice after you pay everyone there DUE!
Q: What does Osama bin laden and General Manager Sam Terry Custer have in common?
A: They both want to know where those Tomahawks and money are coming from!
