I thought it would be cool to see what people thought were the best logos of all time. Here are some of my favorites.

Arizona/Oklahoma Outlaws of the USFL

Berlin Thunder of NFLE

The lower image with the flaming pitchfork, although hardly used, was the best logo of the XFL

I find that I like a lot of the secondary logos, and I think it would be cool if some NFL teams would make an alternate helmet that they could wear on certain weeks with their secondary and terciary logos on them. Eagles, Vikings, Titans, and Rams would be cool to name a few.

which ones do you guys like?

You have too be careful when using secondary logos (or alternative logos) on helmets. The 49ers and a couple other NFL teams have experimented with the idea just as you discribed, but with terrible results. If I recall, the 49ers slightly changed the logo on the helmets too a more "Modern" letter look and the public in the city downright hated it. They only used it for one game before going back too the old standard logo we see today.

As for the two logos your provided, I like the Thunders logo much better then the USFL logo, but then again I like the NFLE more then the USFL as I was just a little kid when that league was going and was not exposed too the league at the time.

Those logos on my post are from logoserver.com except the San Francisco Demons one that logoserver.com didn't have.

I truly just started this thread to try out my knowledge of putting pictures into posts. I just learned how. If you don't know, you right click on the picture and select properties. It will give you a URL for the picture. Copy and Paste that in and select Img, and there you are.

So now I want to see your favorite football logos guys. Let's have it.

by the way, who are the Crusaders?

My idea as far as that goes was as an alternative uniform used once or twice a year, like they did this year with the third color jerseys. No one should feel the need to get up in arms over that, I would hope. Also, it would be cool if teams tried doing the same thing with a second color helmet. I believe the Washington State Cougars are (or were, I don't really keep up on WSU) doing this. They use a silver helmet at home and a red one on the road, or maybe its vice versa, but you get the idea. Truthfully though, I'm not sure if I'm for that. In my head I think it would be cool, but in reality would it? I'm kind of turned off by all the combinations of pants and jerseys they've been doing in the NFL this year. I like being able to turn on the TV, and immediately know who's playing, but with the new uniform combinations, I have to check the abbreviations in the score box or hope for a close up to figure it out sometimes. Uniform tradition is also very cool. No one wonders weather it's the Colts or the Packers or the Vikings playing or not.

I too was too young to get into the USFL. I never saw that Outlaws logo while the league was still playing. I only saw it on an NFL Films profile about a player who spent time in that league. I saw it and said, "Holy crap that's the coolest logo ever!" Same thing I said when I was surfing the internet one day, and discovered that the WLAF still existed, but the Monarchs had moved to Berlin and changed their name and logo.
