There has been alot of talk from all of the gms and coaches and owners going on here. I am sure the players in the league are watching this board alot ...especially recently. Just wondering if they are, what they have to say on the whole situation.

Players I am sure would not make public for fear of losing their jobs and more
and this is not the only board on the internet that discusses the IIHL

$125 / week not including housing....not much of a job to lose if you ask me. And yes, the players ARE carefully watching this message board, and yes, the players ARE carefully posting on here.

That is a very good point. Someone could bag groceries and earn more money per week than that.

All I can say at this point is that I feel the worst for the players. I don't know what is going on in every IIHL city but it has got to be killing the players to see the bickering on this board every day. They according to a previous post only get $125 a week. They aren't in it for the money and what little hope they have left at this point is being taken away from them by all the negativity on this board. Lets face it, their families and friends read all of this I am sure.

The comments on this board shows support for the players in the League. The players have done nothing wrong, they did their part, they have played for weeks without getting paid, buying their own meals on the road, sleeping on a bus or a crowded van, bad equipment, ragtag uniforms (Excluding the Predators who seem to have what it took to skate a team that looked like a team). I applaud the players, I admire their vision. It is the founder of the league that took their dreams away, ruined some from going back to college because of playing in a pro league, those that played in other minor leagues who left to play in this upstart league. To any players reading this-I am sorry you got taken in and then treated as you did.

With all that is being said, let me enlighten you to the fact that there is an opportunity to save the league. there are some deals on the table, and although i am not privy to all of the details any longer. we here at the preds are doing our best to keep the league going. the players deserve to play, and we will make every effort to make sure they have that opportunity. all is not lost.
