New York, NY (December 12, 2005) – Following the success of the team’s previous open player tryout-combines, the New York – New Jersey Revolution will give potential players another opportunity to vie for a roster spot on SATURDAY JANUARY 14 2006 at Alumni Stadium, 2900 Amboy Road in Staten Island, NY, from 12pm-3pm. Registration begins promptly at 1:30pm and includes a $35 processing fee payable in cash on the day of the tryout-combine only. The tryout-combine will be held rain, snow, blizzard, or shine regardless of the weather conditions and participants should wear workout attire suitable for outdoor play, as well as shoes appropriate for field turf. Participants must be at least 18 years old and will be required to sign a waiver form.

Potential players will be reviewed in the following events: 40-yard dash, 20-yard pro shuttle, L-agility drill and broad jump. Participants will also take part in one-on-one drills against players with professional arena and indoor experience in order to properly evaluate the potential player's skill level. One-on-one drills are included in the tryout to simulate actual game situations and the results will weigh heavily on a potential player's final rating, rather than just combine number results alone. New York- and New Jersey-area prospects are especially encouraged to attend as the Revolution is looking to sign as many local players as possible to its training camp roster. All potential players must tryout regardless of prior professional experience.
