The new New York-Penn League team for State College, PA will be known as the Spikes. They will be a Saint Louis Cardinals affiliate, when the franchise moves from northern New Jersey.

What will happen with the New Jersey Cardinals, then? Particularly, is that fairly new ballpark sitting amid cornfields in Augusta going to be tenantless?

Reportedly the Can-Am league is sniffing around thinking about putting a team there.

The New Jersey Cardinals are moving to State College, PA. The stadium in New Jersey would sit empty (I would think) unless another franchise moves in there for the coming year. It would be a good idea to see a Can-Am League team there, to go along with the league's newest team, the Nashua Pride.
