Bye week practice

Do other teams have formal practice on the off week, or just have players meet to throw and catch. I understand that they are not getting paid that week but curious to how other teams handle the situation.

It is my understanding that there are no organized practices during the bye week. Also, players are only paid for game days. If I am not correct someone feel free to set the record straight.
