I'm sorry, but this doesn't sound too credible to me. Could you at least name a few of these owners that are supposed to be in this league? Where did you hear about this anyways?

I would also be curious as all apfl team have been to owners meetings and are recontracted as apfl members for this upcoming season.I know apparently league president stated that the Op Storm(kansas storm) were switching and this not the case at all. There were some rumors and remarks made which are entirely false. The Storm will be returning this season to apfl. Our team considered this league before last season to get some experience under our belt in team operations but apfl went ahead and granted the storm membership last season so we joined it instead of maifl. These are the facts and in case you were wondering how I know, I am the General Mgr of the Storm. We normally just dismiss and ignore all the rumors but in this case I felt compelled to respond as we were informed by our head coach the maifl president had went on arena 5 man radio show stating we were going to be in that league and we were not happy with apfl and that is false and misleading.the apfl has went out of their way to help the storm in our operations and pursuit of becoming a quality franchise.

Thanks for clearing that up . I think that Bears APFL team will be in this league . I would like to ask you why your league has no website. Are the teams just that poor or what?

Another new league has formed. The M.A.I.F.L. is set to break news in the next week. I have talked with 2 of the owners in the new league who say it will have teams from the APFL and old NIFL owners. Many of the people who were looking to put a team in the NIFL this season have gone the way of the M.A.I.F.L. GOD HELP US ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can hear it all tomorrow on AFR!!!!

For what little it's worth:

I'm not sure this isn't a lot of smoke being blown up one's a**, at least where the supposed APFL teams are concerned. Wichita, Topeka and Iowa share common ownership linked to the league, so they aren't bailing. Missouri and Overland Park both recommitted to the league. The BEARS are the only question mark from last year. They apparently lost their lease late in the season for lack of $$$.

Wow. IndoorWorld/Jim Terry could have made that website to start this stupid rumor for $0. In fact I could have made that website. This is obviously fake. It's good to know those five teams are a guarantee for the next season in the APFL.

Jay58 - normally I would never comment on someone's grammar, spelling or ability to put together coherent thought - God knows I'm not above the occasional misspelling.
Having said that - I surely hope that your above post isn't representative of how things (press releases, media material, Web postings) are sent out of your office to the public and to the media.
From years of having been on both sides - writing for teams in PR and GM positions and taking press releases as a journalist during that part of my life - this slob's opinion is that were I to receive what was written above, it would never be taken seriously.
If a person can't put a good paragraph together, how could I be expected to believe that person could put a good business/sports team/marketing organization together?
I know how hard it is to gain credibility in a community, especially in such a world as minor league sports. I also know that the media can be your best friend, or laugh at the ineptitude of what's given to them.
Either way... dude, take a minute and read over what the team puts out there to the public before you hit the submit button. If you read what was posted above, as written... would you be satisfied that it's the best-written thing you could have put out? Would you consider it something that was written by a professional?
Don't take this as an attack, it's not you - it seems to be an epidemic as I read through these 'press releases' that are posted on OSC. I just wonder what happened to the written word, and the ability to form those words into something readable.
Just venting a bit - see what happens when baseball season ends? Thank God for the AFL.

No offense, but didn't the KC baseball season end sometime last March?

I keyed in the MAIFL at league lineup and found their web site [www.leaguelineup.com/maifl] that posted a release about the Blue Springs Thunder. The MAIFL is apparently based in Omaha and has teams planned for Chicago, St. Louis, and Omaha. The Blue Springs site [www.leaguelineup.com/bluespringsthunder] had nothing posted.
Reading about South West Indoor Football reminded me about the Southwest Indoor Football League that made an attempt as an indoor six-man league back in 2000. It was originally called the Bonecrusher Indoor Football League and had several proposed teams in Texas.

I'd like to know more about that league.

This is my first posting on the website forum. I am responding to the comment that rams80 made about the M.A.I.F.L. I am the owner of one of the teams in the league the Nebraska Wildcats and I am also incharge of recruitment for the league. I have had talks with the Storm team from the APFL but at no time did they mention anything to do with joining our league or that they were unhappy with the APFL. We are a small league, we are not trying to compete with any of the arena leagues out there. We just want a place to play the great game of football without having to go broke doing it. I can tell anyone who is interested that this league has had no contact with any APFL teams in reguard to joining us, we have had no contact with any NIFL teams about joining us! The owner of the Iowa Blackhawk is a good person and I consider him a friend and I wish his team all the sucess in the world. And the same for all the APFL teams! I hope that this has made clear that we as a league are not out to steal any team from any other league.
