From the front page of the Stong Island Sound website:

The Strong Island Sound Have Arrived!!!!
ABA basketball is coming to Long Island and what a treat for local youth and the general population of the area. The ABA has produced tremendous talent from its humble beginnings from 1967 - 1976. It hosted many basketball legends such as Long Island natives Julius Erving (Dr. "J") and Larry Brown (NY knicks, Head Coach), along with a cast of NBA legends such as Moses Malone, George "Ice" Gervin, Artis Gilmore and more.

Co-Owners Mel Coles and local businessman Darren Cioffi bring the ABA to Long Island with the Strong Island Sound. The team name was voted on by a number of High Schools in the Suffolk County area and has brought much interest from the local communities. Mr. Coles and Mr. Cioffi who you might call visionaries have a plan to bring professional basketball into the backyards of area residents. With ten dates set at St. Josephs' College in Patchouge the team looks to get off to a good start. The Sound would also like to grant the opportunity for local Long Island High Schools to host the event as well.

The season looks to begin play the beginning of November with 36 games
and 18 of them to be played on Long Island. There will be top notch
talent at affordable prices for the public and this sounds like a
great opportunity to see a professional basketball game played on Long Island.

-First off, I have lived in the NY metropolitan area for over 25 years, and have NEVER heard Long Island referred to as Strong Island

But, on to what they actually wrote...
The ABA has produced tremendous talent from its humble beginnings from 1967 - 1976.
That would be the ABA's beginning AND end.

The season looks to begin play the beginning of November with 36 games and 18 of them to be played on Long Island.
The 'season' is actually looking - if, indeed, as season can "look" at anything - at playing on October 30. As for the 18 games to be played on Long Island...

With ten dates set at St. Josephs' College in Patchouge the team looks to get off to a good start. The Sound would also like to grant the opportunity for local Long Island High Schools to host the event as well.

Almost HALF the home schedule is currently without a venue? Which makes the next statement more relevant:

Mr. Coles and Mr. Cioffi who you might call visionaries have a plan to bring professional basketball into the backyards of area residents.
I might call these two men a lot of things, but it would be pretty late into the evening until the term "visionaries" was used on their behalf. As for bringing the games to area backyards, based on 8 unscheduled dates, that's not exactly out of the realm of possibility ("Mom, can you move the cars out of the driveway? We did all our chores, and the Sound have a home game here in 20 minutes, so we want to use the basket.")

this sounds like a great opportunity to see a professional basketball game played on Long Island.

If you can find the games in the first place...
