In last night's 120-105 win over the Quebec Kebs on opening night, Summerside Storm power forward Mike Williams scored 15 points, got 22 rebounds, and made 18 assists. If my definitions are right, that makes for the first triple-double in NBL Canada history!

Why no news sources are reporting it I don't know...but congratulations to him and the Storm! Something very special is brewing in PEI...

No media is reporting it because he only had 6 assists, therefore no triple-double.

11/24/11 Gabe Freeman vs Moncton 34pts, 13rebs, 15ast
11/25/11 Akeem Wright vs Summerside 18pts, 10rebs, 12ast
11/29/11 Omari Johnson vs Quebec 13pts, 13rebs, 16ast

There have been three so far (according to the box scores):

11/24/11 Gabe Freeman vs Moncton 34pts, 13rebs, 15ast

That was 13 defensive rebounds and 15 total rebounds. Freeman had one assist in that game.

11/25/11 Akeem Wright vs Summerside 18pts, 10rebs, 12ast

That was 10 defensive rebounds and 12 total rebounds. Wright had three assists in that game.

11/29/11 Omari Johnson vs Quebec 13pts, 13rebs, 16ast

That was 13 defensive rebounds and 16 total rebounds. Johnson had one assist in that game.

And Ralphy Holmes of the Quebec Kebs has earned the league's first-ever triple double - 17 points, 16 boards, 10 assists. He did it on December 20 in a home win over the Saint John Mill Rats.

Has anyone in the top level leagues (EBA/CBA, IBL, PBL or D-League) come close to averaging a triple double?
