shouldn't this be posted in the AFL forum?

Agreed, when the same thread is posted to at least a half dozen league folders other than the AFL folder, the forum where it actually belongs, these so-called "copy" threads should be removed as this is clear miss use of the forums.

Plus anyone that is a regular contributor to this forum (which blazerep is not) would know that the most active posters are fans not players. Fans are not the target audience for his post, he is looking for players who want to pay to try out for an AFL team.

Pretty rare an actual player contributes to the forums so all of his 'work' may go un noticed by his target audience.

to add to that. Paying to go to a tryout is for lack of a better word a money maker for these teams point blank. Anyone in the know won't waste their money because if a team is interested u will either get a free agent deal or they will waive the fee for you or give u a private workout.

Posters,

I understand your concerns about posting open tryout info on the message boards, both from the multitude of board posts to tryout costs. There is a two-fold reason for posting in each of the boards. Many players/fans/posters have the the direct link to the board that directly concerns them bookmarked on their computer or phone and there are quality players from other all of the other indoor football leagues that have proven essential to the success of the AFL. Likewise, you are correct, there is a cost for hosting open tryouts and teams do charge, but the costs serve to cover fees associated with carrying out the workout and to ensure serious prospects attend. It truly is the only way to get a look at a sizable number of athletes in a short period and the AFL has been very successful in signing quality athletes from open tryouts. I love to see the commentary and despite the feeling that these are mainly fan dominated boards, it is the fans and supporters of the game of indoor football that will spread the word to athletes about the opportunities that exist for being paid to play the game they love.

Well I hope it works out for you Blaze. Keep EJ Nemeth on the roster, that guy is awesome.
