Rumor has it that Schaumburg GM Andy Viano will hire C.J. Thieleke, who coached third base for the Gary SouthShore RailCats this past season.

C J was a first year coach last year. Can't we get someone in here with some experience. Someone who has been around Indy ball for a while. Hopefully Andy is smarter than that.

Theleke was not a first-year coach. He has years of experience managing in the Northwoods League. He has good experience with very young players.

Andy Viano is no longer GM of the Gary Railcats?!? I don't know ANYTHING anymore. Worst slump I've been in. :shock:

It seems that the raiding of the RailCats has already begun. There have been two other people--front office types--who have gone from Gary to Schaumburg. Remember how the T-Bolts raided the RailCats a few years ago? Well, Schaumburg may be a more attractive city, but they do not have--and will never have--the intense fanbase that follows the 'Cats.
