is 24 games too little or just right???
24 games ...16 w/in your own division
8 games home and home vs other division
was the fact that the misl was affiliated w/the usl kinda put off the dallas ppl that i thought were to come in this season?

24 games = too little. Only 12 home dates.
It's really a sign of the times though. More interest in the outdoor game, means less time for players to stay focused on an indoor alternative.
If 8 teams does happen, it will be a definite step forward. Watch for the markets in smaller cities. If they fail, it could mean the indoor game will too.
Dallas? Stars (NHL) and Mavericks (NBA) means no room for the MISL anymore. When the Sidekicks drew interest, the NHL was not in Dallas and the Mav's were still a slumping expansion team.
I'd love to see a team in Cleveland again, but the Cavs, Monsters, and a bad economy have kept any interest at all away.

I still think Omaha made a bad move leaving for the PASL...kiss the KC and potential Wichita rivalries goodbye...

The two biggest problems to a Sidekicks revival would be venue and the MLS. FC Dallas now rules the soccer roost and the in the big arenas the rent would be (as that guy in New York might say) "Too (darn) high!" I suppose State Fair Arena (where the old Dallas Freeze used to play) is still available. You could play at the Frisco arena or that box where the Texas Brahmas play.

You can not say that finding a venue is a problem in Dallas. The metroplex has something like 5 suitable venues. If you need to focus on the northen chunk of Dallas, then the shoebox, Allen and Frisco would be perfectly good venues.

They are officially called the Chicago Kick (www.chicagokick.com (http://chicagokick.com)). While it hasn't been announced, I have heard they will play in the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.

I'm guessing the MISL will go o for 3 in Chicago after the upcoming season.

Haha, I just can't get over their logo. I thought the Riot had one of the worst, but this one is just plain crappy. Standardized font, no color to it, pretty low resolution, I could go on and on about it (at least their name/logo can be attributed to soccer, unlike the Riot). And I like the fact that they are promoting the year they were established on it, they'll be lucky if they make it through 2012.

Well I guess we didn't need the season to start to go 0 for 3. Never annouce a team before a venue. Does the ABA do the MISL's press releases or something? Very bush league.
