So they had league meetings. They played last year with five teams, two left for UIFL, one folded. Four years ago, they had like 12-14 teams and an eastern conference. Anything come from the meetings? Rumors of expansion? anyone know where? They should have gone after John Morris's AIFA teams and start a eastern conference, but only the devil knows what hes up too. But they also need teams to field the league in general. Looks like they need some help.........bad. Things aren't looking good.

I went to the press conference last Saturday, and as of now, there are only 4 teams more or less confirmed. The Dayton Silverbacks will be playing again out of Hara Arena. The Indianapolis Enforcers will play again and did find a home, though unfortunately I don't recall where that was. Port Huron has new ownership and will return to McMorran, though they do not have a name yet. They are considering calling themselves the Patriots. Finally, the former Northern Kentucky ownership will be joining the league, and are relocating to Muncie, Indiana. They are looking at two different venues in the area.

If they get more, I'd bet it would stay local, maybe Findlay/BG, Ft. Wayne (interesting situation there), Ann Arbor, South Bend areas.

the enforcers found a home? I hope it's the pepsi coliseum. It would be perfect for indoor ball. old and cheap.

There are a couple of people who can fill in the details, but Dayton's owner does not have a good history with UIFL founder Andrew Haines.

Still plenty of off season left, or they may just get two travel teams fill out the schedule.

I should have mentioned earlier that Spitaleri did say that other groups were looking to join, but couldn't mention who they were. My bad on that.

It's mutual. Both sides with the Silverbacks think the other screwed 'em over, basically. It was an uphill battle if either side wanted the other to join, so to speak.

Maybe they could rent a couple from Mr. Hager, he seems to have an unlimited supply just a phone call away.

Hell, or Indianapolis for that matter...

Yeah, because a team that was travel only last year can totally afford afford to suddenly jump up to the UIFL.

Travel only teams are out of style and unaffordable, Mr. H can find you warm bodies in any city you want. You won't even need to pay the players or coaches to field an opponent at the arena of your choosing.
