Seriously, the Pecos League removed one of their GM's last week when it was discovered he was convicted of murder in 2005. Talk about due dilligence!
Anybody else out there with some Pecos League news?

I don't know about the quality of baseball in this league, but it seems they at least have a certain amount of entertainment value...
"Dunn said officials from Carlsbad refused to call the game because of an incident during a May 28 contest in Roswell that made national news for a brawl that broke loose in the seventh inning. According to KOB.com, tensions boiled over after a player from the visiting Las Cruces Vaqueros was picked off at first base. Officials say the third base coach from Las Cruces ran over to argue the play and ended up pushing the umpire who made the close call. Dunn then stormed the field with a folding metal chair."
Commenting on the first professional game played in Carlsbad in 50 years, in which 23 people showed up...
"This is a complete disaster of epic proportions," Pecos League of Professional Baseball commissioner and owner Andrew Dunn said. "I can't loose $4,000 on a series in Carlsbad. I've never been in a situation like this where no one comes out for a game. This is the worst decision I've made (as league commissioner)."

I got this from the Pecos League web site.
Pecos League Statement on Loser Leaves Town Fight in Alamogordo
6/22/2011 The White Sands Pupfish and the Pecos League would like to release the following statement regarding the incident between the Pupfish and a local Alamogordo Softball Team on 6/13/2011. According to Alamogordo police report the softball team challanged the Pupfish to a fight in the parking lot and he also challanged the Pupfish to a $1,000 softball game in a loser leaves town match. A fight broke out inside the bar area and was taken outside in the parking lot. Several of the Softball players were injured, no Pupfish players were injured.
The Pupfish and the softball team were running into each other at Applebee's which is one of the only restaurants open after hours. Pecos League Commisioner Andrew Dunn met with Applebee's manager Traci Cullers on 6/20/2011 to confirm the team was no longer welcome. Traci Cullers said "The Pupfish and the softball team are welcome at Applebee's. We do not block them or prevent them from coming back." Pecos League Commisioner Andrew Dunn says "We cannot have incidents like this happening. I have investigated the incident and met with Traci. At first we were going to ban the Pupfish from going to Applebee's but with cooperation of Traci and other restaurants in Alamogordo open after 10PM, we will allow players to re-enter Applebee's." We ask the citizens of Alamogordo to read the police report before making any judgements about the team.

What I find to be most amusing about the Pecos League is that you can find links to all these stories on their own website.
Look at the press release they wrote about attendance. That is the worst thing I have ever read. It's a good thing no media outlets are picking up on these releases, it makes the league look bush at best.
