1. I noticed on the AIFL teams page that the "Ghostriders" are still listed. I thought this was just a team that was run last year by the league when the original team (in a specific city) folded shortly after the season began. Why still have a "travelling team" when you have 10+ "real" teams?

2. The NIFL still has two teams on its "new" website that seem to have gone back to the IFL (San Angelo, SW Louisiana), I assume they are already gone and, much like last year with the UIF teams, the NIFL is just very hard at "letting go"?

1. Good question. We assumed the same as well, but the Ghostriders seem to still be a member club of the AIFL.

2. According to its owners, San Angelo is still trying to decide which league it will be a part of next season. They may be teetering on the fence to see if the IFL lands enough teams. With the hurricane damage, SWLA and Beaumont have to be question marks for either league. To add to your list, Miami and New Jersey also have big questions surrounding their returns.

Somebody needs to try this — call their office numbers. If they get a message saying the number has been disconnected, it's safe to list them among the dead.
New Jersey's web site hasn't been updated in months, another bad sign.

I think Miami and New Jersey should move to the Arena Football League because all the other indoor football leagues suck. Miami and New Jersey should move to a better league which is the Arena Football League.

The UIF thanks you for your vote of confidence Stuart, and reminds you that the AFL has failed in both markets already.

What about the NIFL's Daytona Beach Hawgs? Are the returning? CSM did announce their plans to build an arena in the Daytona Beach Area.

Please, the Xtreme owners owe everyone money. They never paid the players, coaches, GM and the people he had help him play the last few games. Just the players and coaches aloneare owed 10k. The owner was a complete BS artist and lied about everything even down to having insurance for the players. The NIFL should be held accountable for this too as they could allow this type of thing to happen. Word has it they only cut them off after the owner bounced another check to the new arena and the league. Shame Shame Shame. Before they get a new team in that area they better take care of the prevous teams bills or else they are going to have some real bad press.
