View Full Version : Reading clinches Atlantic Division
The TRUTH

In another brutal outing at Lehigh, the Steelhawks lose to the Express.
Poor clock management, lack of offense and another late interception kill the golden birds. Final 40-37 in front of nearly 4000 fans.
With this win Reading goes to 5-3 with a virtual lock on this Division after sweeping the series 3-0, while Lehigh valley falls to a sad 1-6. On a good note, a Steelhawk dancer has made the Eagles dance team (just hope they have a 2011 season).
Reporting from Upper Macungie, that's the TRUTH.

Our offense needs much improvement. I will comment on the interception though. WR Quinton Lopez was running downfield and pulled up due to a hammy injury and thats why the ball was int'ed. Otherwise he would of either caught it for a td or deflected it from being int'ed. I stated our offense wasnt as good as it needed to be after the 1st game or 2 and here we are 1-6. Though we have lost close games we dont have an offense that can move the ball down the field when needed. IMO, the play calling is backwards where it appears they run to set up the pass. Just doesnt seem like they go downfield much.
While the Express have proven they can beat the struggling teams they still havent beaten a winner yet. 3 of those 5 wins have come against Lehigh (1-6) by a small margin of victory. Another against Arizona (0-8 ) & Richmond (1-6). Their talent or lack thereof was put to test out in Green Bay when they played a great team and got throttled 62-19. Thats the measuring stick and it didnt fare well for them.
As far as the dancer who made it to the Eagles squad, here she is. Alexis Hankerson:

Where's Alexis pic?
Why all these injuries? Are they getting the players good professional care from OAA or Coordinated in the valley? Or are they using a Chiropractor for cheap care like semi-pro teams.
If they are, that always ends in disaster, or the TRUTH - nagging injuries.

As far as i know they are doing things the right way as far as player medical treatment. Just a weird season.
