Their final schedule has Henderson, Long Beach, Omaha, Orange County and Tucson as approved for 2012, but it says there are 6 additional teams approved for 2012 in the release. Anyone know what the sixth is?

Not sure what the team name is but I think it's based, like most of the others, in Fantasyville.

Anyone know what the sixth is? Considering the Padres AAA team will still be playing in Tucson in 2012, I wouldn't count on the independent league Tucson team returning just yet.

I want to know what the 6th approved team is though.

I think bringing up Tucson's issues was to demonstrate that "approval" of a location by the NAL is a completely pointless concept. Heck, they might not know #6 themselves and just wanted to present an even number.
Edit: Oh, and Henderson is gone from the 2012 section (http://northamericanleague.pointstreaksites.com/view/northamericanleague/teams/2012-north-american-league-teams) on the NAL site now, so perhaps 4 is the new even number and there never was a 6th team to begin with. Still doubt we'll even see two of those four teams next year.

The sixth team for 2012 is Hilo, Hawaii. :)

Apparently, Hilo isn't the 6th... it's the 16th.
Next season the League will expand to 16 plus Teams including Hilo.

Any speculation on who the other 10 teams might be?

My mistake, I misread that as 16 NEW teams... carry on.
