The LLFL is an womens arena football league with the women playing in uniforms similar to the lingerie football league. One exception... they play real football and it's not scripted like the lingerie football league.

I stopped by a practice yesterday and was impressed. I can't wait for the season to start

I have also been to their practice and I was very impressed! The team called The Ravens looked AMAZING! They were all in very good shape and they looked SHARP. I think that they are going to be a very tough team to beat, their coach seems to have an abundance of football knowledge. Pair that with a group of female athletes thatare serious and want to win, and you may get to see something really spectacular unfold. I can't wait for the season to start,im already a Raven fan!

With only 3 teams playing how do you have playoffs? What happened to all the other teams that were going to play?

It probably wont last the whole season because the people running it are dumbasses. I would have never even heard about it if it wasnt for me running in to the girls at their practice a few weeks ago. I will have to say I am definately going to every game while it last though lol. That Ravens team i met was incredible, and they had the prettiest/most athletic girls. Anybody else going?I dont think i wanna miss this!

Only other team on their website is KC. Originally they had at least 10 teams.

went to first game of this "league" and all i can say is not going back. with around 125 people at game no more than 150, i can say no advertising. they said they had sponsors but sponsors had no advertising except every once in a while they would say a name. no program no hafttime entertainment and the game started an hr late due to owners having to make the chains out of 2 wood sticks and a piece of rope. at hafttime 75% of the people left. the kicker is the announcer even left before the end of the game. can you say short lived project.

cmon justme dont you think youre being a little harsh..I agree that the late start and the chain situation was a bit ridiculous, but can you honestly say that it wasnt an exciting game? I was entertained the whole time, those girls worked their asses off.

justme didn't criticize the players or the game play. Those things aren't going to do anything to help the league survive if no one's there to see it. BIGFAN, it doesn't sound as if you're arguing any of the points justme made.

trust me i agree with it being run pretty careless. Its just frustrating that this could actually be something fun and exciting and yet again preparation was terrible. The players and coaches always suffer. I will be at every game I just hope they make some adjustments because its really not fair to the girls. I do understand his point though.

Fair enough, looks like you both came away with the same impression. You're just willing to hang in there and hope it improves.

Oh snap. The "league" did not even pay the few bucks to upgrade their wix site to a premium site to remove the wix logos.

First post and hate to start off negative, but its hard not to be after the Tarpon's fiasco.
The remainder of games are scheduled to be played at Cottage Hill Park (Medal of Honor Park). According to the Grand Bay Ravens' Facebook page, the move is attributed to Cottage Hill Park providing a 'safer' environment than the Fair Grounds for the players and fans.
Just curious if maybe the league couldn't meet the rent at the fair grounds or if someone came for the turf?

lmao safer would be for the league to shut down completely. as a tarpons players these owners screw everything up they touch. roland turner told the sifl that he paid us all our pay and paid all the bills as well. he also said he put 40,ooo into our team and another 10,000 for 2 trips. so i would say empty pockets and broken promises.

Interesting how all these smaller/SEMI PRO leagues seem to have problems and issues. Can anyone tell me how the Ravens are able to use a trademarked logo belonging to the Baltimore Ravens of the nfl?
BIGFAN

logo? really? Give me a break please! The logos are FINE to use as long as its not the same name...every pop-warner park team in every other city uses an nfl team logo..This isnt the NFL nor are they portraying to be an NFL team..Lets please think of the players in these "small" leagues before we start complaining about nonsense..Chyle

instead of logos, lets talk about the "gulfcoast renegades" not showing up in san antonio to play the cowgirls for the season opener. Now that is something relevent in this thread. All the hype that those poor girls in san antonio put on the news and for mobile to not show up with a full team? C'mon man... it doesnt surprise me have you seen the lady that runs/owns that team? OMG at least dress like a professional, she looks like a bum that lives under a freakin bridge. just my .02

Pop Warner and youth football leagues do not market themselves all over a region. They are city leagues where the teams usually do fund raisers to support themselves. We're talking about an organized sprots league competing and selling tickets to make money. It is the exact same logo as the Baltimore Ravens.
Would be happy to notify the NFL and see what happens. I would guess they would be sent a cease and desist letter and then action would be taken if they continue to use it.

Pop Warner teams that use NFL logos are subject to pay a royalty to use them (It comes out to about $5 a player). MLB is very aggressive about youth teams that use their logos (their charge is about the same).

I really want to start a west coast LLFL division. I think it would do well in northern cities where there are much fewer attractive women.

Next time you're in Minnesota and approached by some Swedish Viking goddess, you've already struck out.

wow maybe its time the llfl as a organization grows up and realizes they dont own football and anyone who wants a team to play out there has that right to do so. cause all the post against others shows just how worried they are someone else will succeed before them. just like we tarpon players had to realize we couldnt get mad at the sharks for playing a game we couldnt go to.

Where are the Gulfcoast Renegades from? They do not show on LLFl site. I think they are different league.

Hey Billy, the Renegades were part of another womens league called the WSFL.
The Wsfl is actually a very good league, they just got manipulated and lied to by Chyle Brown. Chyle was a salesperson for the Tarpons and got fired, then she went to the LLFL and again got fired for stealing sponsorship money. Ever since then she has been purposely trying to sabotage the LLFL. She has several names on this forum posing as fans and a "tarpons" player just so she can bash the league that these girls are working so hard to keep alive. She went out and put together a fake team called the Renegades, kept sponsor money AGAIN and never showed to her game. just look it up its in the press..she even went as far as naming the division in the WSFL the Leather and Lace division..pretty low

how would she have control over another league as to name a division. and why do you care she is doing nothing in your city nor trying to harm you in any way ., not even playing the same kind of football. seems to me you are being a little vindictive.

vindictive? Hmmm I never mentioned anything about where she played or whether or not she played the same type of football. Seems fishy to me, could Justme be Chyle?

Can we back up a second? So, while it is very well understood that the LFL exists to sell football and sex to young guys... I've never heard until now that they are "scripted". For what I understood, it was played as an actual game by the ladies in their underwear.
What are you accusing them of? Scripting the scores, scripting the plays? I have a hard time believing you'd script a league and have scores of like 56-0 like they have had in the past.

It looks as though the WSFL Leather & Lace Division has disappeared, but I found this link to what was called the WSFL-2, possibly a proposed variation of that division.
http://www.wix.com/wsflsports/wsfl2
The site has the Cowgirls and Renegades, along with the KC Tease team that was announced by the LSFL as one of its teams.
I also found a couple of links to some standings for "Women's Full Contact Football" on the Texas Cowgirls' site and the Corpus Christi Mermaids site

Did anyone ever say where the Gulf Coast Renegades were based?
