West Coast Pro League

Every league should have their own domain name, but the no travel concept is smart.

Seems like all of these leagues are legit just low key.The KBDL has a good set up,teams save a lot of money on travel cost with teams in clusters.Atleast we know these leagues play all there games.

The KBDL has not updated its site in awhile. At a minimum, there should have been a posting of the 2010 schedule, participating teams, and standings.

Sorry I missed this thread. The KBDL is a semi-pro basketball league. The level of play is very good but the management is not. I worked for the Tri-State Tankers as Director of Operations. The Tankers went 6-0 and were declared champions. I left the league over a dispute with management. Basically I was tired of hearing Thom Mcqueen, who owns the league really, say we have to be careful so we dont get sued. I like to do things on the level and KBDL management was always looking for an angle.
Here is a funny story though. The league was looking to expand into a larger regional footprint. The idea was to have teams in Evansville, Frankfort, Owensboro, Nashville, Cincy, St. Louis, West Virginia, and maybe go as far south as Alabama. We were trying to come up with a name for the league that took it to a more professional level. I suggested the new organization be called the Federal League of Basketball Clubs or FLBC. Federal was a designation that had not been used in the modern era of organized basketball. Thom liked the Federal idea but thought that my name sounded a bit old. God forbid a basketball league survive long enough to be old. He set to work on a league logo and a new name. He came up with the Federal League of American Basketball. First, this is redundant double designation. Federal and American is like L.A. Angels of Anaheim. Second if you condense Federal League of American Basketball down to an acronym you get FLAB. I kid you not he suggested FLAB. This is a true story. I still have the emails. Btw, I am still owed $83.25 worth of gas money for the trip to Centralia. I kept the receipt. See Thom I can legally reveal info like this because I never signed a non-disclosure agreement.
