I met Chris Daleo and Ken Hasty (close friend of Chris, class act and knows more about minor league hoops then I or 96% of the minor league organizations could ever hope for) a few years back and the time has come for Daleo be an NBA coach. Daleo has paid his dues, dealt with the ups and downs, the garbage, the politics and deserves a shot. He is THAT good.....and after watching the other international coaches over the past few months; Argentina, Brazil, and now Europe, I am convinced even more. Kevin Mackey also worked with me (1996) and the fact that he has not gotten a head coaching postition is absolutely a travesty. He is far and away as good, if not better then ANY coach in the NBA right now. I have not spoken to either in YEARS, but after seeing the trash that minor leagues has produced, its time that they cultivated some of the true talent...and it is not always the players. Having been situated over here in Europe an seeing the quality of coaching here (not bad,....not bad..BUT!!), we should appreciate Mackey and Daleo and their NBA caliber talent...and the NBA teams should quit recycling "has beens" and "never were's".

This is my first time posting on here in a while, but this thread has sparked me to respond.

I agree completely with your post. Chris is a a fine coach. I have respected his approach for years. Even though he found his way to think different of me this past weekend (for some reason), I still have to step up and ratify a true statement when one is made. Chris, keep up the good work and have a great season.

Also, Ken Hasty is a fine gentleman as well...He truly is a class act.
