It has begun. This was the business model. Wait for a strike and sign the locked out/striking players.

The speculation is sooner than I thought it would have been. Just having these guys potentially or actually on a roster won't help the UFL make money.

They haven't signed him yet.

Also, if that was the business model, that was a hell of a crap business model - lose $50-$60M the first two years on the off chance you might be able to sign a handful of NFL guys (Babin may be a Pro Bowler, but he ain't gonna move the needle) to populate the five teams you have that play two games a week? And that's going to recoup your money?

I'd be skeptical that that was their plan all along, but if it was, it sure wasn't much of a plan.
