Well, I don't know why they still bother but Jersey played in KC on Tuesday night and were blown out by a score of 133-81. That's a 52 point spread for those of you who are mathematically challenged.
Now they travel west for 2 games against Las Vegas, assuming they can pay for flights.
By the way, Jersey's next 4 games are all against Las Vegas (2 road and 2 home). How's that for creating a fan friendly schedule?
Happy New Year all.
The team took about a week off for the Christmas holidays. During this time the team hired another head coach (that makes three coaches in a eight game span for those of you keeping count), and dropped and added some players. In addition, I guarantee you that during the off time the players didn't work on their game like they should have...
I will guarantee you that this team will take at least one game from Las Vegas during this 4 game series. Also, look for Cleotis Brown to continue to be the man for Jersey and solidify himself as the top player in the ABA. The question I have for Jersey is, how long will this guy remain with the Squires?

The so-called owner of the squires is an absolute joke. The ABA needs to remove him as owner, and far as Cleotis Brown is concerned , he is a very good player. Really and truly I would think that a CBA team would sign him or certainly one of the other solid ABA teams would. He is also a truly nice young man as well as talented.

What happened to the Jan.2 game between Las Vegas and Jersey??
Another phantom game here? No score on the website, and not list as an upcoming game, yet it is still on the schedule.
Did they play last night or not? Anyone?
Unfortunately, the new year has not brought a change of the tide for Jesrey. They dropped this one again by about 5. The two teams scored in the hundreds with Cleotis Brown scoring in the mid to upper 20's while playing the PG position for Jersey. Not bad for a 6'6 scorer.
Just to keep some of you on this board that are familiar with Jon Jones up to date on his progress, the former Rockford Lightning player played well last night for the Rattlers....

It's sad when "the two teams scored in the hundreds" and "by about 5" are more definitive than anything you can find on the league's website.
Hey, anon, couldn't Cleotis have told you the actual score when he called you? And if he could call you, couldn't somebody have called the league?

Well it is still a problem with the ownership of the teams and they should make sure that the box scores are posted. The players should not have to type up their teams stats and press releases. Hopefully they will figure this out.
John Jones for the Las Vegas Rattlers is playing well and so is Cleotis Brown for New Jersey. It is a shame that neither of these teams have better ownership.
I wonder if anyone is even at the games keeping official stats!
