OK, the latest rumors about expansion may not be rumors at all but facts. However, this is the MISL, so it's a rumor until you see it but I digress.
1) The City of Minneanapolis is evaluating the MISL and is in the process of submitting an application for joining (2011/2012 season). Could the Strikers be close to returning???
2) Detriot and Wichita is very close to being announced for the 2011-2012 season. This makes sense because if the Strikers return, Detriot would be a natural travel partner. Wichita would fit in great with Kansas City and Omaha.
3) Philadelphia could return next year. A lot is being done to bring back the Kixx; and don't be surprised if they are not the only Pennsylvania team in the next year or two.
4) The door is open for La Raza to return next year, but without a travel partner or two, they may wait. Dallas isn't as hot a rumor, as it was this time last year. Niether is Mexico City.
5) The MISL have feelers out in new cities such as Tulsa, and Boston. Again, I'll believe it when I see it, but it has been mentioned.
6) If expansion is succeful and liitle to no teams are lost, look for the MISL to head West. Extreme west. This could set up a battle or work agreement with the PASL-Pro. The MISL has it's eyes on Phoenix, San Diego, Tacoma, and Stockton. All PASL-Pro markets. We will see.
