Won't get off the ground as a true independent league. May follow the path of the NYBL, but overall, I don't consider this to be a true indy league.

A new fan forum has been set up for the PBL: http://permianbasinleaguefans.myfastforum.org/index.php
The forum as of now is just a shell, but will come together more as teams are announced. It will include PBL league officals, as well as team managers. This is a great place to go to get the very latest information on the PBL..

Your right Texas, the league will never get off the ground just another want to be, You start a league without one team in the league yet, not likely, in fact the truth is these are guys that were rejected from the Pecos League trying to start their own league, Also Rumor has it Bob Lipp is involved with these guys, all true indy ball fans no what that means lol, anyways funny how no league officials or staff are named, sounds like someone trying to hide something huh

Is there really any difference between not naming teams and naming a bunch of teams one day than the next half are taken away. I do think its better to announce teams once a stadium has been secured, not naming the team, a staff and signing players, then opps they may not have a team. I am 100% hoping both leagues make it as competition is good.

Bob Lipp here.......I've spoken with the individuals that have introduced the PBL. I'm not associated with this league.
You guys are making me feel like Billy the Kid of Indy......lol

It looks like the Permian Basin League may have changed its name as the link to the PBL (www.permianbasinleague.com) goes to the Southwestern States League (www.southwesternstatesleague.com).
