...and say hello to the American Indoor Football League. What do you guys think of the name change?

Under the presumption that this means they're going national (and NOTHING will surprise me about that)...

Another fool's eyes got too big for them?

I think 2% of the fans of these teams could even give a bleep whether their team played in a regional league or a national league. From there, it's just a matter of whether or not these owners want to keep costs down.

I think one day they thought, "You know, Ohio isn't really on the Atlantic Coast. And we have two teams there plus a couple expansion teams. It just doesn't make sense." So they switched the name without switching the entire image. But now they can go to new places with the league.

As long as the AIFL makes their teams honor their contracts and pay the players and vendors it is a step WAY ahead of the NIFL.

Attn: Andrew Haines

When speaking to a large market news paper (like the Orlando Sentinel) when they ask a question about a problem with an AIFL team, do not lie and cover it up.

Like the NIFL president did this past year when the CSM did not pay the players and coaches.

It sounds good - if the league survives and the Erie Freeze survive with it - i really don't know i care what the league name is.....

But changing the A From Atlantic to American means at least it sounds important. But the league has to do a lot more than just change names.
