It's been an exciting first round of playoffs. Tough exit for Somerset today. Ouch. I got to attend a couple of exciting games - Game 3 in Somerset and Game 4 in Bridgeport. Despite smaller crowds in Bridgeport I always have fun there! The fans there are usually very into the game. Despite going to games with larger crowds in LI, I can't recall many spontaneous chants starting in LI like one sees up in Park City. And then to see the place erupt with Putnam's walkoff double was exciting! The Boss (Boulton) was around. I would've loved to have asked him about Newark but didn't get a chance to. I'll be back there, so maybe later!

I'm sticking with my original prediction of the Bluefish running the table, although the York pitching staff is in better shape than expected. Bridgeport's rotation is deep; there isn't an off day with them. I'm taking the Fish in four...

York broadcast last night's game vs Somerset on the internet. Great game with play-off intensity. York crowd was really pumped. Props to the Revolution...I have to agree that on paper Bridgeport has the edge but emotionally, I'd say York has the edge...city of York really seems to have rallied behind the Revs...

I'm a long time Bluefish fan and love to hear about positive experiences at Harbor Yard. The thin crowd is disappointing but I always have fun as well. I was at Games 3 and 4 and loved it. Still wondering why Pike was taken out as early as he was, but hey, it all worked out. I'm counting on them taking it by Game 4, so I can SEE the win. GO FISH!

also was at games 3&4. the crowd was considerably larger at game three. howerver the game four drama was amazing! the reported 2300 people crowd on Saturday was flipping out after Danny putnams walk off double. me and my buddies exited harbor yard admist high fives and smiles from everyone we passed. I am stoked for the championship series- I am predicting the fish in 4. I will be going to game 3, unfortunately I must skip game 4 due to a wedding. bummer! thank god for iPhone updates!!!

Oh man, Surf, that was playoff baseball at its best last night. I was listening to it on the Pats' site (I think Adam Amin is the best in the league). The crowd of 3,400-plus sounded like 8,400. Unbelievable. York has a good fan base. I remember being impressed by that when I went to York. They had a very vocal group there in Somerset for Game 3. I expect there to be a York contingent at Harbor Yard next weekend.

The reason I give the Fish the edge is they'll face former Yankee Matt DeSalvo, who has been Koufax unhittable of late, only one time. Thurman is solid but after that there are question marks.

I wonder if there's an injury issue with Matt Pike. I also found it curious that he got his first start in Game 4, then while crusing through five shutout innings in an elimination game, they pulled him.

I'm contemplating a move from my beloved Brooklyn to Westchester in the spring. While the Yonkers team is a few years away and there are the never-ending Bears rumors, I may be a regular next season in Bridgeport!

I cannot wait for the game in Bridgeport on Friday. Just to let anyone in the Greater Bridgeport area the Bluefish organization is organizing a pep rally to get the fans stoked about the series. They are holding the event at Ralph and Rich's Restaurant located at 815 Main Street Bridgeport, CT. It is a stones throw away from Harbor Yard. The food is amazing! Great Italian Cuisine. Sounds exciting! I would've gone if it was Friday. They say it's an 80 percent chance for rain on Thursday in York, so that may push everything back a day. Not fun!

Congratulations to the York Revolution on winning the 2010 Atlantic League Championship with their 3 game sweep of the Bridgeport Bluefish. Also, congratulations to Ramon Castro on winning the series MVP.

Yeah congrats to York. Tough loss for Bridgeport but York had the "team of destiny" look. A suspect pitching staff in the second half, they won games with their pitching. Bullpen pitched six scoreless innings tonight and gave up just one hit. That was the real MVP.
