View Full Version : Power signs head coach
The Pittsburgh Power have signed their first Head Coach, a well traveled Chris Siegfried, who is tired of traveling and makes no promises aside from making the team work hard. I think fans will like him. He wants to affiliate the Power with the Steelers.
The Power signed their first player, a quarterback. They also had their first tryouts on Sat, so should be at least one more signing announced soon.
The Power now have 6 signed players.
The Power just released their schedule. We open at home against Phila.

Lynn Swann To Award Pittsburgh Power Season Tickets to Contest Winners
Pro Football legend to give tickets to winners in person at the Marriott City Center, Saturday March 5th , at 2:00 P.M.
The Pittsburgh Power announced that Co-Owner Lynn Swann will personally award season tickets to the winners of the team's contest. The contest, which has been accepting entries since November, received over 2,500 entries from various charity event appearances, tailgates, and other community outreach appearances. In addition to a pair of season tickets to the Pittsburgh Power's 9- game home schedule, the 10 winners will also receive a "meet-and-greet" with Lynn Swann in a CONSOL Energy Center Party Suite during the upcoming season.
Pretty good crowd for the opener, almost 14,000. Too bad we lost in ot. Hope the crowds improve. They had to have liked what they saw, overall.

not quite an impressive game but maybe it's the new head coach's fault
An 8-8 record is pretty dang good for a first year team. If you think they should have done better, I think you are being awfully critical.
I look forward to seeing the Power in 2012! Hopefully the crowds will be even better(though they were pretty good in their first year)!
