If a city gets a NIFL team to leave (YEAH!!!) and replaced with an AIFL team are we any better off?
Yes, it would be great if the AIFL league has better funded teams.
No, it would be worse if the AIFL team taking the NIFL team's place uses the AFL/AF2 defensive alignment by rule.
I really love the 4 defensive backs, with the sole linebacker lined up 5 yards off of the line of scrimmage prior to the snap. We get a nice running attack in the NIFL game and an occasional quarterback taking off with the ball after a pump-fake.
What I'm hearing is we lose that with the AIFL?
I really detest the AFL/AF2 defensive alignment.
If I'm going to a Troy, Ohio AIFL game I don't want to see AFL/AF2 defensive rules in effect!
Can anyone elaborate on the defensive alignment/rules in the AIFL?
