Lake Charles, La

The voice of the Louisiana Swashbucklers, Scott Blanchard, will be back on Stick-AM on May 22nd as the Bucs play host to the Albany Panthers. The Swashbucklers are 2-4 on the season but have continued their thirty game home winning streak in spite of an 0-4 road record in 2010. The Swashbucklers have a slim chance of hosting a playoff home game but will need to defeat the 5-0 Panthers and 5-1 Lions in consecutive weeks in the Smuggler’s Den to have a punchers chance. Blanchard plans to broadcast both games on stickam.com

Blanchard voiced play by play for the Southern Indoor Football League and the Louisiana Swashbucklers for the entire 2009 season. As Creative Services Director for the league in 2009, the Stick-AM Broadcast was one of his major projects, and was received with great praise by league fans. The Stick-AM show was awarded “Outstanding Webcast” at the 2009 SIFL league meetings for the project’s success.

The broadcast team attempted a webcast on April 17th when the Greenville Force visited Lake Charles but technical issues cut the broadcast and caused a subpar program. Blanchard explained that those issues are fixed now with new equipment and there should be no issues with the sound this Saturday. “We had some issues with some older equipment and some missing pieces once we were able to set up in the Civic Center, but we have everything covered for tomorrow night. There are still no plans for quality video due to the much higher cost but the audio should be ready to go.” Blanchard explained.

The broadcast will be free for those who want to listen, and like in years past fans can sign into Stick-AM and chat with those in the booth. Iphone users can download a free app and listen from their Iphone if the user’s internet connection permits. You can reach the broadcast at www.stickam.com/bucsfootball or search “bucsfootball” in your iphone stickam application.

yea, the crowd to me was rather small, It must have alot to do with graduations. We usually pull around 3000, although I never got a final count. it was much closer to 2000. When I was Vice President we had 3 sell outs. 5500 packed in there tight, those where rocking days

not that im taking credit for the sell outs.
