Does anyone know if there is any potential person that wants to put a new team in baton rouge? I used to go to all the kingfish games and miss hockey.

Because any team's schedule would overlap with the national champion LSU Tigers'. Basically, if it ain't LSU, Baton Rouge ain't supporting it (they wouldn't even support the Saints and Hornets when both teams tried it out right after Katrina)

the city has a nice filed that could back an organized ball club and it would also be nice to see hockey back there as well . as for it being an lsu town i sure cant argue that

From what I remember the kingfish drew some nice crowds up until the end. I go to some icegators games, but driving to Lafayette gets old. Its a shame that the rivercenter which is a pretty nice arena, is sitting empty, besides the occasional concert. As for baseball, i heard that they were going to build a minor league park downtown on the river.

ive heard that about a ballpark in br but why not just use goldsby which i believe had a pro team a few yrs bk

Yea, the riverbats. The attendance was horrible. Only about 16k a season. I never even heard of them until the last season they played.
