Well the ibl, is now getting back to shamless behavior, although some might argue it never stopped.

This usa all star game tryout extravaganza, has become a farce when you try it two times in two weeks. Now you are just taking money from guys and offering them nothing in return.

No ibl teams needs this format to find players. Albany, smartly, did not participate, and they have only kicked battle creek in the butt 3 straight times, and this happening with the deputy commisioner coaching battlecreek.

Then to add insult to injury, they want the players to play for free, and give advance money to the teams for their housing if they are selected.

This is a new all time low in what has become this cesspool we call minorleague basketball.

I would have to agree with this one . A guys puts up 50 points in game and get no phone calls from any team. THATS WRONG. Than to have these game count as reg season game is wrong also.

I was reading something, and it said Sonnie was a Coach with Battle Creek last year. Is that the case?

The IBL is a complete joke and is all about one thing for the owner of the league $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Yes $$$$$$$$$. I am sure if you think the IBL will help you forget it. Only the teams can help you and forget about fairness or follow through this is not the IBL's strong suite... I bet you the tournament never goes down in Yakima and that we see playoffs moved to a few difference places... My bet is LA will pay some money to get the playoff's or they will just play in junk gyms in Portland.

Hey Not to be mean to Sonnie but he knows the truth he was not a asst. coach for the Knights last year . He actually was in charge of the ball and water kids but he did do a good job with that. But he did come to practice alot He also gave the players rides when they needed it so he did help alot.

I was not a coach on paper but I was at at least 95% of practices and my role with the team did grow over the year. Look I did not ask for my position on this team I was recomended by someone from last years team and offered assistant coach by Mr. Dulio. First of all I have always said I'm a Big Knights fan and love my city and second of all the IBL. Mr. Dulio and Coach Dickens have treated me with the utmost respect. Let me finish by saying I did not write the article or whatever you read but no one here is complaining about my help, I coached several tryout and All Star teams and also the Lansing Capitals so far this year and my record is 5 wins and 1 loss and one of those wins was against a undeafeted IBL. franchise team at the time. I did not get paid ever this year or last so you know that I'm correct in saying I like helping my team. I hope this clears these questions up.

You didn't make me mad just wanted to explain myself and you are and always will be a friend. Last year was a blast and I really learned alot more about the game and that has really helped me. I will always remember the fun we had last year and thank you guys for showing me the right way to do things.

Sonnie is a great guy. He is a trooper for battle creek.

We need more people like him in minorleague hoops!
