There has been no word on the possible exhibition games that were planned. The RIFL has decided to terminate their agreement with the Augusta Mavericks because of the Mavericks participation agreement with another league(SIFL).
And Augusta is not being used to fill in for the Lightning.

Will this team show any signs of life this year?

Just curious. :)

They are supposed to participate in the SIFL in 2011. I hope that happens, because Greenville, Columbus and Albany are all just a few hours away. Some great rivalry potential there.

It might be best if they hang on for the SIFL rather than playing in the RIFL. Even with its troubles, the SIFL still has the potential to be a great regional league.
