Gary foots the bill for the 2005 NL all*star game. Gary finishes the first half season tied for third and 1.5 games out of first. Gary has NO players selected to the South Division starting line-up?

That is a slap in the face by anyone's definition.

The Northern League All*Star game was last night. Since my last post, Jason Colson and Curt Lee of Gary were added to the South Division line-up. Jason, because the line-up was expanded from twenty-one players to twenty-two. Curt, because of an injury to one of the originally selected players.

There are a few 2005 all*star game photos on the following site:

Let me continue to get this straight...

The Railcats were co-winners of the South Division second half, have taken the first round playoffs to a fifth and final game, yet no Railcats made the end of the season all*star squad?

I guess it's only about offensive stats afterall.

Congratulations on Gary's earning of the Northern League Championship.

There are several articles in Northwest Indiana fishwraps about the RailCats being disrespected in the post-season awards, and in the lack of butts in seats. It is widely hoped that a championship will bring with it greater respect in the future within Northern League circles and within Gary's portion of Chicagoland.
