This guy must be sick. This team was for sale on Ebay 8 months ago for $10,000 anyone got a contact number? I would like to email him the info of the team on ebay. Also look who he hired as the coach. How stupid are these people with their money when it comes to indoor football?
I can't help but think the Shivers are making some nice money off these jokers.

Asked if he was concerned that arena football might not work in El Paso, Taulton was undaunted.

"I'm not scared at all," said Taulton, who said he has paid the $250,000 NIFL franchise fee. "I'm not intimidated because I know what it takes to get something done. I'm going to get out there and bust my butt myself, and I have no problem doing that. If you're going to succeed, you have to have community support, and that's my main goal -- to get El Paso's support. I've been in contact with the mayor's office and (various chambers of commerce). I'm going to get it out there."

He must have a lot of money to throw around. I would do the same thing if I had enough money.

I sure hope it's his own money and not the parishoners' cash.

$250,000 to the league. Wow, somebody was sold a bill of goods. Next, that poor minister must have to dish out for salaries, equipment, office space, insurance and everything else.
He'd better (as he said in the El Paso article) "bust his butt" or he will lose it.
The good book says give to the poor, but I don't think the NIFL qualifies.

Not the ones running the league at least. Otherwise, if you're not poor when you get in you will be soon enough.

I wonder if my minister ever 'busts his butt' while getting 'out there'? This bozo probably wears shoulder pads in the pulpit.

If I had money like that I would start in small to medium city that doesn't have an arena team like either Reno, Abilene, Colorado Springs or Mobile!
