View Full Version : Puerto Rico at Vermont
The game is available for viewing, the teams were lined up after being introduced, with the Frost Heaves in home white and the Capatanes apparently in Gold tops and black shorts. The facility looks to be filled to capacity.
Puerto Rico is in black. There was sound for the anthems, but I lost it. The video is decent but almost looks to be going frame-by-frame and there is no scoreboard on the screen, it's like a webcam. But it's good to see a packed house!

37-22 for PR with eight minutes left in the second.
Anyone know what's up with Reyes? He hasn't played any away games
The scoreboard, which gets occasional shots by the cam, is hard to read. But after 1, it looks like Puerto Rico leads, 34-22.
They are into the second half, it was 44-37 P.R. at the break.
I don't know the final, but last I saw, P.R. was leading, 71-62. Any help would be appreciated.

97-86 for PR.
Bummer. I was really hoping Vermont could knock PR back a game. Halifax's only chance is to get home court throughout the playoffs.

Thanks, guys. The Capitanes have a good team and it was good to see the
1,700(?) seats filled.

Did Trimboli play? He's listed in the box score as playing but he was released by the team a few days ago. (Or is that just Al Stewart in Trimboli's jersey?)
Ayuso put up 40 points which is impressive on its own, but he seems to have done it in a super strange way: just 4 two point attempts, but 14 of 15 from the free throw line and eight of ten from beyond the arc. Crazy.

Capacity at the Aud is 1650. If it wasn't a sell out, it was pretty darn close. We were slow out of the gate and PR lit us up early. Closest we go was 4, I believe, but I was good to finally get back to the Aud and even better to see a crowd that size. Now we go off to Manchester tomorrow night and then the Millrats face PR sunday.
Trimboli was released when Stewart was signed.
I watched much of the game on the cam, believe me, every seat was taken. It appeared to be SRO.

Ayuso was unconscious last night. The dude couldn't miss. I guess that's why he makes the BIG bucks. He was clutch for them. The Heaves dug themselves a huge whole early and just couldn't dig themselves out. They also shot themselves in the face by missing a ton of free throws. Vermont will have to play better tomorrow if they are going to get a win down in Manchester with Anthony Anderson back on the Millrats.
