The Southwestern League is looking for two more memberships to bring the total number of markets to six for the league’s 2011 inaugural season. The SWL is currently working the following four markets, which already have market coordinators:
Tecate, BC
El Centro, CA/Mexical, BC
Nogales, AZ/Nogales, SON
Cananea, SON/Douglas, AZ
The initial founding six teams will pay no membership fees to join the league. To assure completion on the season, each team will be required to furnish financial statements, performance bonds and report team financials to the league office on a monthly basis. A default fund is also being established.
