Muskegon, MI - Blizzard's Rich Jondo is enjoying time up in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye. "It had been great to be up at this level as it has given me a wide open eye perspective as to how much faster the game is played at this level and the tempo is quick, there is no room for error or it will cost you.
I am just working hard every day on and off the ice to maintain my position up at the ECHL level. The team has a few injuries right now, so you never know how much longer you will be up when those players return. It was odd seeing Coach Simmons on the opposite side of the ice as we spoke before and after the game. He just told me to go out there and play my game and not to go above and beyond my skill set, so far I have been doing ok and holding my own. I am just thankful to get the opportunity to get the call-up and do my best and learn what I need to for next year to move up to the 'AA' level", stated Rich Jondo.
