View Full Version : FREE AGENT CAMOS
I was wondering what people think about pro free agent camps such as the one IHC holds. I have been trying to get invites from teams to get invited to there training camp but no teams have responded back. So im curious what other people think i should do. Any info would help

From what I heard the IHC seems to be very good. The guy that runs it. I think his name is Bob Gurgrich (Sorry for the mispelling BOB)seems to have quite a few scouts at camp each year. The camp has been around for a while. I would say it would be worth it.
Also the league in Canada, the LNAH is pretty good. They seem to invite players to training camp and bring players in during the season more so than the Leagues in the US. The style is tough but the money seems to be VERY GOOD! They also have senior AA in Canada. It doesn't pay much, but it's a start. Some teams(in Quebec) pay Ok. And it is something that you can put on your resume. You know saying that you got paid to play! Then later on you can talk to teams in the States.
Coaches in the U.S. pretty much bring in players that they know for the most part. You have a few that they don't know, but that is not the majority of players in camp.I have noticed over the past couple of seasons that expansion teams in the SEHL and the UHL have been holding open camps. You have to pay a small fee but hey it's a shot to skate in front of the coaches. I hope this helps! :)
