For those who are interested, USbasket (www.usbasket.com) has some ABA information on their site. From what the site says, five teams have yet to play a game; six have played one; six have played two; and three have played three games. The Kentucky Stallions have played the most with 14.
Another year in the ABA........

Both of the active Kentucky teams (Stallions and Bisons) have played 16 regular season games. The Bisons also played 4 pre-season games including 3 in China.

LOL. I think we are all very well aware that there is little to nothing that is useful, relevant, or believable on ABAlive.com.
But you are joking about the "Prove it..." part, right? I certainly could, but I have much better ways of wasting my time.

This league is such a disaster....just an absolute disaster. Joe has singlehandedly swift-boated the game of minor league hoops.
Just everything about this rinky dink outfit reeks of BS. This supposed "league," and Joe's borderline Ponzi expansion scheme, teams dropping out, thrown out, reappearing and coming back in.
I didn't think it was possible but the ABA has become a parody of itself. Sadly the joke is on the hundreds of owners who got burned, sponsors who really got burned, fans left holding tickets to a never-to-be-played game, players whose checks bounce faster than the basketballs and anyone else who ever had the misfortune to invest in this absolute-F+++++g-disaster of a league.

Instead of another victory by forfeit, the SETX Mavericks (now 15-3) romped past the New Mexico Rim Rockers last night, 154-72. The Rockers, filling in for the Dallas Generals, appeared from TV clip to have brought only six players to Beaumont.

From the NYC Thunder site:
January
1/2 vs Pittsburgh Phantoms (forfeit)
1/3 vs Maryland Marvels (won)
1/9 vs WV Blazers (Lost)
1/16 vs WV Raptors (Won)
1/17 vs WV Blazers (Won)
1/23 vs Jersey Express
1/30 vs Tri-City Suns
1/31 vs Maryland Marvels
There's a number of teams claiming forfeits and I record those because there is no other source to state otherwise. It is like that Dallas vs N Texas game where both teams claimed a victory. I had to go with the first score posted.

How can both teams claim a victory? Was it a situation where BOTH teams didn't show? :D

The game was back in December and got some play here on the boards. Apparently there was a scoring error--Dallas got credit for a basket--and N Texas protested a day or two after the game. Dallas ended the season at 4-0 (though I only have scores for 2 games) so I'm guessing the league denied the protest. Still, the Fresh are claiming the victory on their site.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Call it temporary insanity.
Given the fact that the Phantoms have not updated their website(last I checked), I'll take your word for it(you are one few I trust on here), turbo.
I just went to look for an update on the Youngstown Swish website. I got one alright-their website is no longer running listed as account suspended!

Lake Michigan Admirals size up team roster
7-3 player brings needed size inside for new ABA franchise
By BEN SANDERS - H-P Sports Writer
Published: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 1:09 PM EST
The Lake Michigan Admirals are hoping some new players can make them a contender in the American Basketball Association.
The Admirals, off to a 5-5 start in their inaugural season, are hoping for big things from 7-foot-3 center Jermaine Middleton. Admirals owner Chris Glisson said that Middleton has signed and will be available for games against the Pittsburgh Phantoms Saturday and Sunday.
"I'm excited to have him," Glisson said. "We've been playing without a true center all year. It will make us more legit for our championship run."
The Admirals had 7-2 center Brad Kanis on their preseason roster, but Kanis left for Uruguay in hopes of playing for the country's national team.
Glisson also has high hopes for recent addition A.J. Ratliff. The former Indiana University guard scored nine points in Saturday's 162-145 win over the Indiana Steamrollers, but was unavailable for Sunday's 105-98 loss to the Chicago Steam.
Glisson hopes the Admirals can develop a rivalry with the Steam, and added the two teams may schedule additional games against each other if other teams in the ABA's North Central Division are unable to play.
The Admirals have already had one scheduled opponent, the Kansas City Stars, fold during the season.
Glisson said that he doesn't think the Admirals are struggling financially, and mentioned that the team has continued to add new members to its ownership group.
However, former Admirals coach Mike Ahrens said he left the team in late December for financial reasons, and that the Admirals owe him $1,400.
"I just wanted enough money to pay for gas and get a cheeseburger after the game," Ahrens said.
Glisson said Ahrens gave him a letter citing personal reasons for leaving the team, and was paid for his time as coach.
"I don't know why he would say that," Glisson said. "If you work and you do something for me, I always pay."
Ahrens was replaced as head coach by assistant Buck Riley, former longtime Adrian College coach.
The Admirals will host Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lake Michigan Catholic High School, and at 3 p.m. Sunday at Benton Harbor High School.
Glisson said admission to Sunday's game will be free for student-athletes on their school's honor roll.
H-P Sports Editor Jason Mitchell contributed to this report.
Thanks for the update on the Swish, at least I'm not crazy:)
And thanks, Turbo, about the LM update. The Phantoms seem to be too lazy to update their website(I don't know what's so hard about it). They still have mention of the upcoming Akron game. I hope they actually make it up to Lake Michigan.
I decided to visit the NYC Red Riders website, I took a look at their updated schedule. The Phantoms game(scheduled here) is re-scheduled.

Thanks, I could not remember which N.Y. team it was before my post, so I guessed.
ok, I visited the NYC website which does have the Phantoms game listed as a forfeit, but I also visited the Swish website--or tried. It's still listed as a suspended account.

Hi Steve, keeping busy up here in Evansville. Came down last year and watched the first Bisons exhibition game. Heard they were having a hard time drawing again this season, despite winning a Championship last year. I hate to see minor league teams struggling. I hope the can figure it out and stick around down there.
