After reading various posts about CBL I wanted to jump in...and share some facts.. I recently spoke with Ron Baron who operates the CBL, teams are independently owned and according to Ron doing well due to lower costs...
Ron Baron has announced the Continental Baseball League will have 2 new teams in 2010 in solid markets, the Las Cruces Vaqueros and East Texas Twisters will join the CBL in 2010, with good players/managers/stadiums a combination the CBL isn't used to from previous seasons...
This will give the CBL 5 solid franchises and a travel team...Something it has never came close to having, Alexandria/Big Bend/South Louisana/Las Cruces/East Texas and a travel team...
Gone are Corpus Christi, Bay Area Toros and Texarkana Gunslingers...probably gone for problems/money reasons... except better things from Ron Baron and CBL in 2010... See http://www.BigBendCowboys.com (http://www.BigBendCowboys.com)

The CBL will not merge with United Baseball League or whatever that is... nor will they play neutral site games, the CBL is moving west and the USL will not get off the ground.
