Why should a minor league owner spend money to register an entire team in a summer pro league? How does this translate into butts in seats? The ABA Rochester Razorsharks are entering a team in a DC area pro summer league.

Whatever happened to sending just a scout to evaluate talent and make contacts?

The Gwinnett Gwizzlies (remember them?) entered a team in the Southern California Pro Summer League last year. Of course, the Gwizzlies didn't last long enough to even start the 2004-2005 ABA season. Entering a team in such a league didn't make sense to me then and doesn't make sense to me now. Limited financial resources are being stretched even further--and for what?

Seriously, what do you expect from a team in a league that has 70 'teams' and is looking to expand?

Let's hope that their 'press releases' will be proof-read, unlike the Gwizzlies! Then again, they aren't much fun to read without the mistakes!

...and the team will be called White Chocolate? Why bother then?
