bogus checker promotion 12/26

the checkers had a promotion where supossedly ALL seats were $10. but when we got to the box office we were informed only the upper seats were available at that price! :mad: and yes, there were plenty of empty in the lower sections all game long. we feel totally duped. big deal, the same crappy seat i can get at any game at that price. man i used to love going to see the checkers when they played at the old barn. it was the most fun i could have with my clothes on. but Sat night reminded me of why i quit going. outrageous consession prices, silly dancing girls, double the price of a decent seat from what it used to be, Wilson's non stop chatter, the extra charge for not buying your ticket in advance, ect. and this latest trick to get me into the building was really the last straw. i was thinking we might start going to the games again but no way now, not after the crap they pulled on Sat. yes the team is going well in the uptown arena and i won't be missed but neither will they. not by us anyway. btw, i couldn't find an email addy for Tera Black on their website (hmmm....wonder why :rolleyes:) so if anyone has it send it along please. i'd rather complain to her than you

I thought that name Tera Black sounded familiar--she was involved with the San Diego Gulls--right up until they folded. Not that the team's folding was her fault--it was always fun going to hockey games in San Diego. I also clicked on to your team's website and saw your ticket prices--DAMN!! Maybe it's better we don't have hockey in San Diego anymore...
