I am skeptical that he'll ever actually play, but he has signed with Long Beach:

Rodman in the ABA may or may not be good for either or both but it will get the league some mention in the major national media.

For those who may not know, Reuters is the largest news organization in the WORLD. I assume they will continue to follow the story. Hopefully for the league and Rodman, it will be a positive story.

Will Rodman play for the new Charlotte Bobcats next season?

Rodman was obviously the best thing to happen to the ABA last season. He made the whole expansion plan (scam?) possible for this season.

Unless he gets another reality show however, then I don't see Rodman's built-in curiosity factor helping the ABA enough to supersede the negative (and non-existent) press they are about to receive because of their unusual expansion. Dennis Rodman may have already hurt the Kansas City franchise by not traveling with the team to KC (where a rather large crowd anticipated his being in the lineup).

I'm a CBA homer, but I'm also a realist. The curiosity factor will only take you so far. Sound planning will take you further...well, at least much sounder planning than We will build our own arena if we can't find a venue, will take you further. :)
