Newark Bears in 2010

Has anybody heard anything on whether the Newark Bears will be back for the 2010 season? I purchased season tickets, but I noticed my checks weren't cashed yet and that was over a month age. I've tried calling the front office and the phone just rings and rings. There's no automated message or anything:confused: I sent emails to my sales rep and haven't heard back. I know the owner Tom Cetnar, said the team would be back, but this isn't looking too promising. Do Atlantic League teams generally shut down operations in December? Or are the Bears going under again?

Yeah, they'll be around. I have some friends that work with the Bears and there's been no indication they won't be back next year. They aren't the most organized office staff though. The phone number on their web site hasn't worked all season.

The question is whether they'll be back beyond next year. Did you try the SGarrett@newarkbears.com address? They don't even show they're selling tickets yet, so I don't know if that's a factor.

I emailed their Facebook page asking if they were selling merchandise through the winter because the online website link currently leads nowhere and they read the email but haven't emailed me back yet so I hope to hear soon. I'd love to get my hands on one of those Bears Roberte Clemente hats

from owner Tom Cetner. Yes, they will be back for the 2010 season. They're are off until Jan 4th. Sorry guys, I just got scared that they would't be back. My fault.

Yes they are certainly back for 2010. They are hiring a new play-by-play broadcaster as well.
