Blizzard Announce

“Name the Team Contest”

"Titletown Football Group, LLC currently doing business as the Green Bay Blizzard is excited to announce they are holding a “Name the Team Contest.” When new Owner and President Jeff Royle purchased the assets of the franchise from the previous ownership group in early November he announced that the Blizzard name and intellectual property were held by the now defunct Arena Football League. The team is still attempting to purchase the rights to keep the Blizzard name moving forward but with the possibility that a name change could happen; the team is moving forward with a name the team contest in the event a name change is necessary.
“We are in a win/win situation, said team Owner and President Jeff Royle. A re-branding of the franchise will be a lot of fun and will create a lot of excitement as we head in to our first season with the Indoor Football League. At the same time if we are successful in retaining the current Blizzard brand, it’s certainly a team name we’d be very happy to keep.”
The team has launched a website: www.greenbaynametheteam.com and is encouraging all fans to visit the site. The contest will run through Monday, December 14. A drawing will be held from all the voters submitting the winning name. The winner will receive 2 season tickets, an autographed football, 2 team t-shirts and an invitation to sit in a suite during a home game this coming season."

Guess the owner thinks AF1 won't sell/lease him the team name/logos. Arkansas/Amarillo/Tri Cities will probably follow suit or pay up to the AF1.

The AF1 will need every penny after having to spend 3x ($6mil) the original bid to obtain the AFL stuff at auction

EDIT: My mistake, some people on the AF1 fanzone site told me you were somebody involved. I'm sorry...
