Please post all information about which teams will compete in the upcoming 2009 - 2010 NISL Season here... i.e. Which teams have committed and which are rumored to be coming aboard. To my knowledge, the Milwaukee Wave and a relaunch of the Harrisburg Heat will be among the expansion franchises. What is the status of the XSL New Jersey Ironmen and Detroit Ignition as to a return to the NISL; and is there any possibility of a change in name from the NISL to "Major Indoor Soccer League?" I understand that one rumor is that Dallas and Cincinnati are in talks to join; if so, are they from PASL-Pro? Last, will the NISL have any national television contract or will it be on a regional / city by city basis as usual. Any and all information is welcome.

27 days until training camp for the Baltimore Blast...no real updates on Blast site nor NISL Site; who will comprise 2009 - 2010 NISL? The Milwaukee Wave have rejoined the league and all of the teams from last season will be back. I know the league was trying to reform the Harrisburg Heat, but the dearth of news from this league is overwhelming. What is going on? Do we still have a league? Any and all news is welcome, even rumors. Thanks.

I sent an email to the commissioner about the Heat, he said they had an individual who was interested in the team but wouldn't go any further than that....

I grew up going to Heat games, so did most of my friends...when word got out about the possibility of them coming back it's all we could talk about

What happened to the Massachusetts Franchise? I read that the former owner of the MISL Dallas Sidekicks was planning on a relaunch in the NISL; what is their status as well as other potential expansion cities? There was talk of the New Jersey Ironmen returning to the NISL; where does that stand? My understanding is that the Detroit Ignition and Chicago Storm are gone...they have sold off their assets such as the indoor arena carpet!!! Sad, I thought a Chicago / Detroit matchup was good for indoor soccer. There was talk that the NISL would expand back into Chicago; what is that potential franchise status? I even read that Cincinnati was a potential market along with Richmond, VA. The Philadelphia Kixx were in negotiations to play in Temple University or another local venue due to renovations on their current arena; where do they stand. Does anybody have any information about possible national TV Coverage or will the NISL remain on local television outlets? Last, the season is about to start, the news and rumors are few, and the NISL has yet to update their current site...this does not 'bode well. In order to make money, you have to have money, and you have to market your product. All I see is that these few franchises are relying on their loyal diehard fans and do not appear to be trying to expand their respective markets.

The KiXX have confirmed that they will be playing at Liacouras Center this season.

Other than that, I have no idea about anything else...

Kind of a disappointment.

Subtract Massachusetts, and add Milwaukee. I had hoped to see some sort
of expansion this season.

Despite reports to the contrary, I have to believe that the XSL, and its former
members, will not return.

I remember the NPSL as a former Buffalo Blizzard season ticketholder. I miss indoor soccer in Buffalo. The MISL should really look at former successful NPSL markets like Buffalo, Cleveland and Harrisburg.

Because with these markets you can bus the teams to games to keep cost down. Buffalo did something right the Buffalo Blizzard were around for 9 years. The Buffalo Blizzard use to play games on saturday and sunday afternoons.

On a saturday I use to attend a Buffalo Blizzard game in the afternoon and then the Buffalo Bandits NLL indoor lacrosse game at night. That worked in Buffalo for nine years because both team could use the building for one day HSBC Arena. The MISL has to get back to the NPSL roots and bring back indoor soccer to indoor soccer cities not outdoor soccer cities.

The two games are very different. Buffalo is a indoor soccer town that still has indoor soccer facilities for amatuer leagues to play indoor soccer. I don't understand what the MISL is doing with expansion. They belong in cities that like the indoor game like Buffalo.

Yes we are small city and we will never be LA or NYC but we accept the indoor soccer game and have a history of indoor soccer in Buffalo. Buffalo had the Buffalo Stallions for five years in the old MISL and then the Buffalo Blizzard in the NPSL for 9 years. Let's Go Buffalo

Sorry to say, but no interest at all in Cleveland anymore. What little there
was seemed to dry up when the Force folded after making it to the finals
in 2005.

We have the Vortex in PASL-Pro, but nothing is ever reported locally about
them. Since the Force folded, the media hasn't exactly asked "whatever
happened to?" and the public hasn't had even the smallest of interest in
asking for a team.

I don't believe that a goodly number of Clevelander's would even know or care
if the MISL, NISL, or whatever the major indoor soccer circuit is, even exists anymore.

tops804 I am sorry to hear that about Cleveland. Both Buffalo and Cleveland use to travel back and forth on weekends for games. Cleveland Crunch fans use to come to Buffalo with noise makers and blowed them everytime the Crunch scored. Cleveland Crunch had some powerful teams with Hector Marinaro, Zoran Karic and Otto Orf.

Buffalo never went to the MISL when it was renamed the second MISL now were on the third MISL. So maybe that was a good thing because Buffalo's market wasn't so damaged. Many Buffalo Blizzard fans I have talked to miss the team and would love to have a indoor soccer team back in Buffalo.

PASL-Pro aren't they like a minor league to the MISL playing out of indoor soccer training facilities? The PASL-Pro would never work in Buffalo in my opinion but the MISL would have a chance with the Buffalo Sabres ownership behind it. That is the only way I see it working in Buffalo. Let's Go Buffalo
